This episode is all about equipment. Over the years both Adela and Mike accumulated a lot of tools that help them produce the content they produce. Let’s take a look at what’s in their bags.
Call it subway, underground, metro or tube, you cannot put out Mike’s excitement for the topic. Adel calls it his weird obsession but who doesn’t love a good metro system in their city, ey?
We’ll be updating this blogpost as we take more rides in metro systems around the globe. So tag along as currently we’ve visited more than 20 of them and we want to share our thoughts on the topic.
- 02/2019: Added Amsterdam and Brussels
- 11/2018: Added Helsinki and Vienna
All you need to know about traveling from finding a ticket to escaping couchsurfing hosts, this episode has it all. Adel shares gems on luggage, jet lag, naps, airport hacks and Mike pops the question, why do we like tomato juice on an airplane so much?
A few moons back Adela made a list of her favourite podcasts and now it’s my turn. It’s kind of difficult for me to pick just 5 that I like as podcasts are hands down my most frequent way of consuming content and ear canals are the way to my brain. I don’t watch TV, I don’t read news so podcasts are where most of my information comes from. Let’s narrow it down to my top 5 productivity podcasts.
Besides talking about their preferences and feelings of the clickiness of the iPhone Home button, Adel and Mike open the topic of traveling, something that is very important to them. Adel shares her feelings of being stuck and Mike starts a penis-measuring competition.
In the first episode recorded in 2018, Adela talks about her new logo, website, and pricing, all connected to her rebranding mentioned in the previous episode. Mike tells us what his new job is and how he struggles with time management, and together they discuss Upwork and other freelance jobs they had in the past year.
Mike is settling down while Adela sees herself back on the road. They both complain about their former jobs and share their requirements for future work. Before they land in the new year they also conclude the year 2017.
I think this was actually Mike’s idea at the very beginning. I am not sure how or why he thought of this, but one day he just called me from Mexico (or was it Boston, Mike? I can’t remember!) and said We should start a podcast, what do you think? And so we did.
In today’s blogpost, I want to introduce you to the top five podcasts that I listen to. I left the ones about business and freelancing to Mike, since we listen to the same ones more or less, and focused on a broader variety of themes and topics. Podcasts can cover just about anything and that is why I enjoy them and why I think everyone should start listening to them. Focusing on music and lifestyle, here are my top 5 podcasts.
